A Master of MiNE student has a university degree typically, but not necessarily, in business administration, economics, law, electronic engineering or related subjects. However, students of previous editions have also been university graduates in languages and letters, journalism and communication sciences, education, politics, etc. Students range in age and experience right from neo-graduates in their early twenties to business people with extensive work experience well into their fifties. It's never too late to start learning something new or to become experts in something at which we are old hands!

Apart from the standard official requirements of a university degree, reasonable knowledge of English and basic familiarity with the main uses of the Internet and computers, the main requirement is the desire to extend and expand all previous knowledge, and learn the potential, advantages and limitations of the applications of information technology across the spectrum of a corporate environment.

The study program is fairly intensive, consisting of an initial 9-10-week period of basic courses, which concentrate on the fundamentals in the areas of ICT, economics and management for those who have not studied these subjects previously, followed by a 20-week period of core courses which provide: a profound knowledge of the applications of telematics to organizations, as well as the potential and limitations of information and communication technology (ICT); familiarity with the effects of ICT on organizational structures and on change dynamics; the interdisciplinary skills necessary to manage a company in the various scenarios of the digital economy; know-how in the management of complexity and the knowledge to create new competitive advantages for their organizations. The program concludes with a 12-week internship during which the student develops a project, which will provide the material for the final graduation report/seminar.
